Update: 26/06/21 - Blood Requirement & Rise in WBC Count

The process of ECMO requires a constant need for blood from donors. So far, Apollo was able to satisfy the needs by arranging it from their blood bank.

On 22nd June Apollo requested us to arrange donors for blood due to a looming shortage in their blood bank.

With the help of COVID 19 - Chennai Help Group, Mr Gowtham, friends and families we were able to fulfil this need within a day. We are grateful for all their help.

On 24th June, Amrit's WBC (white blood cell) count shot up to 41,000 range which alarmed the doctors.

On 25th June, the WBC count increased further to the 45000 range. Tests were conducted and the PCT reference came out to be 1.5 µg/L indicating significant but moderate systematic inflammatory response and likely to be sepsis.

On 26th June, at the time of speaking Amrit's WBC count has reduced to 36000 range. He has also been taken for a CT Scan.

We are waiting for the results now.

We need all the help we can get now, especially financially. the average daily expenditure is more than Rs 2 lakhs.

You have been connected with us throughout this and now I need to ask you for more favours.

Please share and donate to the fullest so that Amrit can live again and be a significant contributor to this society.

After all, that was his dream. And, we want to preserve it and give him a chance to make it come true.
